Who's at your wedding and why?

They are all there, the master of ceremonies, the bridesmaids and the page boys, but what do they do exactly? here's a quick reference guide to your bridal party.

Master of ceremonies: Master of ceremonies or MC is the person you would like to be the host for your big day. Keep in mind the MC must be able to speak in front of a large crowd. The MC's tasks usually includes making a speech and introducing other speakers, telling jokes and keeping the event moving. Ensure the MC has a full copy of the order of events to keep him/her on track!


The Maid / Matron of Honour: This is a close friend or relative to help you plan your dream wedding and make sure things run smoothly on the day! The Maid / Matron of Honour is also in charge of planning the bachelorette party before the wedding day.
Maid of Honour means unmarried woman serving as chief attendant to the bride.
Matron of Honour means married woman serving as chief attendant to the bride.

Best Man: The beast man is the chief male assistant to the groom on his wedding day. He is also in charge of planning a bachelor's party for the groom before the wedding day.

Bridesmaid/s: Female attendants to the bride who are usually close friends or relatives.

Groomsmen / Ushers: Male attendants to the groom who are usually close friends or relatives.

Flower Girl/s: Usually walks in front of the bride spreading flower petals on the floor.

Page Boy: Usually carries the brides train as she walks down the aisle.

Ring Bearer: Is the chief page boy who carries the rings to the soon-to-be newly weds.
