Honeymoon Registries

One of the major highlights of getting married (besides tying the knot with your soul-mate) is most definitely the HONEYMOON. Now-days we've all pretty much got all the household accessories already, so these great honeymoon registries that have popped up here and there are just perfect.

There are many different types of registries out there. Some people have tour packages you can purchase and get your guests to contribute to, or some are simply 'bank accounts' people can deposit money into, but you will be charged a handing fee for all of the options. Some offer you your own website and printed cards to send with your invitations and the list goes on and on... so be prepared to do some research into what would suit you best. Here's a run down of just a few we checked:

The Gift of Travel - http://www.thegiftoftravel.co.za/
Here, you would need to book and pay for your trip with their travel partner. Once you have booked and your itinerary is sorted, a travel registry page will be created for you and your trip broken down into affordable pieces for your guests to contribute towards. You will then receive your money 5 days after the account closes.
Fees: Using their travel partner 8.5% service fee and using someone else 12.5%

I Thee Travel - http://www.itheetravel.co.za/
They have different packages you can select on their website; 7 nights here and 10 nights there, maybe a candle light dinner included plus little add ons. On this site you simply select and pay for your package and an on-line registry page is created with a photo and a personal message. Your guests will all be emailed the link to our page where they can go on and make contributions and leave messages. The only down side I can see is that other guests can see exactly what amount the other person contributed.
Fees: 3% admin fee to guests and 5% for the couples. 10% if you book your honeymoon with someone else

Love Travel - http://www.lovetravel.co.za/
This is not a travel agency and is not partnered with any, so you can book your honeymoon with whoever you like. They work as a 'money back' registry. They give you your own creative licence when designing your on-line registry page.
Fees: 14.5% service fee
