Kol Kol is on a farm situated on the Van der Stel Pass near Botrivier. Set in a tranquil and peaceful environment with sweeping views of the Babilonstoren Mountains as well as the fynbos of the Cape Floral Kingdom. They are Canadian" style log cabins where you can relax in your own private wood-fired hot-tub.
We arrived to our log cabin and was greeted with a basket of goodies, which included rusks and fresh farm eggs and inside the fridge was a complimentary bottle of wine which makes the whole experience that mush more special. The heated plunge pool was firm favuorite for the weekend, once we figured out that it does get extremely warm and worked out how to keep it at the right temperature. There are great hikes up the your backdrop of mountains, and believe me when you get to the top it will all be worth it. From reading the guest book, the best time to go there is just after the rainy season, when the waterfall is in flow.
