Eco-Friendly Wedding

It used to be a trend, but now it's just obviously something we all need to take into consideration. Even if you don't apply 'green ways' to every aspect of your wedding, just take a few and apply it where it suits you best.
Here are just a few tips you can incorporate in your plans to have an eco-friendly wedding.

Send an electronic invitation
This seems extremely taboo, but it is an option - after all not everybody keeps the invitation.

Send a seeded invitation
Shew.. now there's an option that still brings in your style and creativity.

Support your local florist
Local is lekker! Also remember to enquire with your florist where they get their flowers from - if they are shipping them in from far off this is defeating the objective here. The point is to reduce your carbon footprint.

Pick a green wedding gown
Start a new trend and walk down to aisle in green - No this is not what we mean.
Choose organic, fair-trade, and sustainably produced fabrics. Or recycle a wedding dress. For example, use your mother’s wedding gown and have it altered or reworked, this would make your mom so proud!

Have a daytime wedding
This helps you reduce the strain on our electricity supply.

Choose fuel-free transportation
Imagine your fairy-tail wedding, with you arriving in a horse-drawn carriage.

Have an organic spread
Have locally-grown organic food served during your reception, or even serve fewer meat dishes.
